About the position

The position of Interdisciplinary Data Scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) involves managing and developing data policies for the Eastern Ecological Science Center. Responsibilities

• Serve as a data manager to assist in developing the center's data management policy.
• Design and coordinate protocols and procedures for data integration.
• Advise center scientists and data stewards on data management practices.
• Coordinate records management, curation, and preservation processes.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Suitable for Federal employment as determined by a background investigation.
• Possess a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Meet educational requirements for one of the following: Geographer, Biologist, General Engineer, Physical Scientist, or Librarian.
