Nemean Solutions, LLC is seeking a Geographic Information Systems Database Administrator to join our team at the TOP-C, National Simulation Center located in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This position is part of the NSC Support Operations task order under the MTCCS II IDIQ contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databases that support various teams and projects. This role requires a strong background in GIS database management, as well as experience in leading teams that support military training events and distributed exercises. The Geographic Information Systems Database Administrator will be tasked with administering, testing, and implementing computer GIS databases. The candidate should possess a solid understanding of database management systems and be able to identify, investigate, and resolve performance issues related to databases. Additionally, the role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard computer databases. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large datasets and performing complex spatial queries and analyses, along with a solid understanding of geographic concepts, cartography, and spatial analysis as they relate to database management. This position requires a SECRET clearance and the ability to conduct business during the facility's operational hours, which are from 0730 to 1630, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The contractor may also work in an alternative workplace when the government facility is closed due to emergencies or administrative reasons. The work will be performed at Fort Leavenworth, KS, and all contractor employees must adhere to local guidance regarding access, face coverings, physical distancing, and quarantine policies.
