The GEOINT (RADAR) Processing Systems Engineer will provide essential technical support to enhance the development of GEOINT capabilities in collaboration with development contractors and mission partners. This role is pivotal in ensuring that programs effectively develop and deliver core mission processing services throughout all phases of the acquisition life cycle. The engineer will interface directly with development Prime Contractors, overseeing and monitoring software development and integration activities to ensure they align with Government requirements and objectives. In addition to oversight responsibilities, the engineer will manage various projects, conducting thorough assessments that include evaluating the technical baseline, schedules, dependencies, risks, and cost impacts. The role also involves advising on architectural decisions, which encompasses investment strategies, acquisition portfolio priorities, and risk assessments related to project execution. Strategic planning is a key component of this position, focusing on both mission architecture needs—such as technical trade studies, future architecture planning, and software service recommendations—and programmatic aspects, including Program Budget Guidance, cost estimation, and the generation of acquisition schedules. Furthermore, the engineer will be responsible for developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and defining enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements. This multifaceted role requires a deep understanding of the technical and operational aspects of GEOINT and radar systems, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of mission capabilities.
