KBR is seeking a GEOINT (RADAR) Processing Systems Engineer to provide mission knowledge and expertise throughout the lifecycle of large system acquisitions, specifically those valued over $50 million. This role is critical in supporting all phases of system engineering and acquisition, including pre-acquisition activities such as analysis of alternatives, market research, and applied research. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to facilitate the development of GEOINT capabilities in collaboration with development contractors and mission partners. The engineer will perform engineering and analysis to ensure that programs successfully develop and deliver core mission processing services across all phases of the acquisition life cycle. This includes direct interaction with development Prime Contractors, overseeing and monitoring software development and integration activities to ensure alignment with Government requirements and objectives. The role also involves managing projects and conducting assessments that encompass technical baselines, schedules, dependencies, risks, and cost impacts. In addition, the engineer will advise on architectural decisions, including investment strategies, acquisition portfolio priorities, and risk assessments related to project execution. Strategic planning will be a key component of this position, focusing on both mission architecture needs—such as technical trade studies, future architecture planning, and software service recommendations—and programmatic aspects like Program Budget Guidance, cost estimation, and the generation of acquisition schedules. The engineer will also be responsible for developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and defining enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements.
