About the position

HETI is seeking a full-time Geologist/Environmental Scientist with 2-10 years of experience in the environmental field. The role involves a mix of fieldwork and office activities, focusing on environmental site assessments, sampling, and report preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in geology or environmental science and possess excellent writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork including sampling and environmental site assessments.
• Prepare site assessment and site remediation reports.
• Compile data and coordinate projects.
• Support senior staff in various activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Geology, Environmental Science, or applicable science.
• 2 years of experience in the environmental field.
• Strong writing skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Current 40-hour OSHA training and HAZWOPER preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with hazardous waste operations and emergency response training.
• Strong academic background.
