About the position

Georgia-Pacific is offering a Summer 2025 Engineering Internship Program for students in various engineering disciplines. Interns will be placed in one of the company's manufacturing facilities across the U.S. to support innovation, process efficiency, equipment reliability, and quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on compliance, safety, and health. This 12-week program provides hands-on experience and opportunities for professional development, networking, and learning about the company and its management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Support innovation and process efficiency in manufacturing facilities.
  • Assist in ensuring equipment reliability and quality assurance.
  • Focus on compliance, safety, and health in engineering practices.
  • Engage in significant projects and problem-solving tasks.
  • Participate in weekly learning sessions and location-specific programming.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Control Engineering, or Pulp & Paper Science Engineering.
  • Willingness to work at various U.S. locations for the duration of the internship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship or co-op experience in engineering or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
