About the position
Georgia-Pacific is offering a 12-week summer internship program for Environmental Summer Interns in 2025. This internship provides a unique opportunity for participants to gain hands-on experience in managing environmental obligations within a manufacturing setting, while also being part of a team that values entrepreneurial spirit and environmental excellence.
Responsibilities
- Be assigned to a manufacturing location and become an integral part of the facility team while working with an experienced mentor.
- Receive hands-on training and practical application of environmental practices at GP, along with exposure to business and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in activities to drive environmental excellence and sustainability.
- Understand, develop, and apply Principle Based Management™.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in environmental practices and sustainability in a manufacturing context.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous internship or work experience in an environmental role.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
