About the position

Maxar Technologies is seeking a Geospatial Database Manager to oversee the implementation of standards and procedures for geospatial database management. This role involves creating and training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data management in ArcGIS Server, managing data migration, and ensuring the integrity and standardization of geospatial data. The position requires collaboration with various teams to support the integration of geospatial data into operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement standards, processes, and procedures for the population of geospatial databases.
• Create and train on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for geospatial data management in ArcGIS Server and web maps.
• Manage and maintain data migration and population of key datasets into ArcGIS Server.
• Validate, publish, and maintain geospatial crisis and intelligence updates through ArcGIS Server.
• Manage data replication and reconcile data contention between database revisions.
• Ensure master updates conform to operations tempo requirements.
• Maintain data standardization and support coordination with IC, IA, and SOF.
• Discover and publish new data sources through the CIP/COP interface.
• Coordinate with engineers within the Software Integration Facility (SIF) and Information Assurance (IA) organizations to support integration of the SOF CIP/COP and enterprise GIS.
• Manage existing geospatial data and find new geospatial data sources for the CIMDPS system related to Civil Affairs operations.
• Organize and edit CA survey data, ensuring it is in the new format for the NextGen system.

Requirements

• US citizenship with an active or current TS/SCI clearance.
• 4 years of relevant experience in GIS.
