About the position

The Geotechnical Principal at ECS Ltd is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to Geotechnical staff across branches and regions. This senior-level position involves overseeing projects, conducting technical report reviews, preparing proposals, and assisting in business development. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and participating in the review committee for Associate Principal candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support to Geotechnical staff within a branch and region.
• Host or attend project meetings with clients and ECS staff to provide technical solutions.
• Mentor Associate Principals and junior staff members.
• Oversee projects and perform technical report reviews.
• Prepare and review proposals for projects.
• Assist with management of the department and P&L.
• Engage in business development and maintain client interactions.
• Assist hiring managers in staffing decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a similar field.
• 12 years of related experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Designation as a senior reviewer at a current or previous firm is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license required in the states of work.
• Valid driver's license required if driving for ECS.
