About the position
In this role, you will primarily be involved with tasks supporting the preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations. You will manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects, which includes daily report review, assisting with the resolution of issues, and training field staff on your projects. Additionally, you will prepare both geotechnical and CMT proposals, manage project budgets, and prepare change orders and invoices. Other duties may include assisting with or performing tasks under supervision such as performing boring and test pit layouts, evaluating site access, preparing drilling packages, obtaining utility clearances, performing research on local geologic history, supervising field work performed by drilling/test pit crews, assisting with rig access issues, performing in-situ testing, classifying soil, and assigning laboratory testing. You will also support junior staff in their development.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of geotechnical reports including analysis and recommendations

Requirements
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required
- 1 year of related experience
- A professional license is not required in this position but is necessary to progress in your career
- Valid driver's license required if driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary
