In this role, you will primarily be involved with tasks supporting the preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations formulated in collaboration with senior staff. You will manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects, which includes daily report review, assisting with the resolution of issues, and training field staff on your projects. Additionally, you will manage project budgets for both geotechnical and CMT projects and prepare invoices. Other duties may include assisting with or performing tasks under supervision such as performing boring and test pit layouts, evaluating site access, preparing drilling packages, obtaining utility clearances, and performing research on local geologic history. You will supervise field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and assist with rig access issues, perform in-situ testing, and may conduct specialized geotechnical field testing. You will also classify soil and assign laboratory testing, as well as assist with the preparation of proposals for both geotechnical and CMT projects for training and developmental purposes.
