About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced German writers to assist in training generative AI models. This freelance position allows for flexible hours and remote work, focusing on providing human feedback to improve AI outputs. Writers will engage in tasks such as ranking AI-generated responses, writing short stories in German, and assessing the factual accuracy of AI-produced texts.

Responsibilities

• Read German text to rank a series of responses produced by an AI model.
• Write a short story in German about a given topic.
• Assess the factual accuracy of German text produced by an AI model.

Requirements

• Fluency in German.
• Experience as a professional translator.
• Professional writing experience (copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, etc.).
• Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or related to writing.
• Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing.
