About the position

Frito-Lay Picker/loaders are Warehouse Material Handlers responsible for a variety of warehouse duties in our state-of-the-art automated warehouse referred to as (GES) Geographic Enterprise Systems. A key component of PepsiCo's success, Frito-Lay has been making and distributing the very best snacks for over 80 years. Although you will start out working for Frito-Lay, this job can open the door to career opportunities with our parent company, PepsiCo. This position is seasonal and involves physical labor, requiring employees to be on their feet for the entirety of their shifts. The role includes tasks such as accurately picking products using an automatic belt picking system, auditing cases for accuracy, loading trailers, and ensuring successful individual performance by meeting or exceeding performance time standards. Additionally, employees will monitor label/print machines, operate auto case erectors, and participate in general housekeeping and sanitation tasks as required. The job also involves completing certifications in various tasks and participating in team meetings and training.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick appropriate product on an automatic belt picking system using required technology such as Pick-To-Light and Vulcan.
  • Audit cases for accuracy and review/correct issues with problem cases.
  • Load trailers via carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer.
  • Ensure successful individual performance by meeting or exceeding performance time standards.
  • Monitor label/print machines to ensure no jams and clear jams if necessary.
  • Utilize WCS (Warehouse Control System) to address system faults.
  • Operate auto case erector (ACE) and manage carton recycling processes.
  • Participate in carton unloading, sorting, orienting, bailing, and trailer loading prep.
  • Handle proper cart handling and storage throughout the warehouse and trailers loading/unloading process.
  • Perform autonomous maintenance activity as required by task.
  • Complete certifications in various tasks as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and training.
  • Distribute product and assist in weekly product inventory.
  • Perform general housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
