GFMO- Glass Fiber Machine Operator

About the position

The Glass Fiber Machine Operator (GFMO) at Armtec Defense Technologies is responsible for operating complex machinery in the Glass Fiber Machine Room. This role requires the operator to efficiently set up and operate multiple machines, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards. The position is critical in supporting the production of aerial countermeasure chaff, contributing to the defense industry and supporting U.S. and allied war-fighters.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up two machines efficiently within three months, progressing to four machines within six months.
• Meet productivity standards and strive to increase productivity.
• Observe and adhere to safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Ensure process control is maintained at each machine.
• Follow instructions independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Six months of relevant manufacturing experience is desired.
