About the position
The Gastroenterology Endoscopy Technician plays a crucial role in the endoscopy suite and gastroenterology office at Comprehensive Gastrointestinal Health. This position involves assisting medical professionals during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The technician will be integral in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist during endoscopies and colonoscopies alongside gastroenterologists and anesthesiologists.
- Support with equipment and accessories for procedures.
- Process scopes and manage recovery turnover.
- Administer immunizations and perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of consultation rooms.
- Facilitate patient experience by obtaining weight, vitals, and documenting health history in electronic medical records.
- Communicate with referring providers and assist with patient reception duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Gastroenterology Endoscopy Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with the medical team.
- Current CPR certification is preferred.

- Flexibility to provide backup support in other areas of the office as needed.
