About the position

The Gift Card Support Specialist I at Shift4 is responsible for providing exceptional service to merchants and dealers in the gift card processing industry. This entry-level position involves direct communication with clients through various channels, ensuring a positive company image and effective problem resolution. The role requires a strong understanding of the gift card process and collaboration with management on specific projects, all while maintaining a cooperative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with merchants and dealers to provide high-quality service and professionalism.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
  • Assist merchants in placing gift card orders using the online wizard.
  • Provide reports to merchants upon request.
  • Schedule and perform gift card conversions from previous providers.
  • Resolve issues related to the activation and redemption of gift cards.
  • Process gift card orders for printing and fulfillment.
  • Manage fulfillment inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to ensure first call resolution.
  • Participate in team meetings to provide feedback and improve the work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience in the payments industry or project management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets is required.
  • 2+ years of computer technology experience preferred, but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at Shift4 Payments or in the payments industry.
  • Project management knowledge.
