About the position

The Gift Processing Specialist at Seminole Boosters, Inc. is responsible for managing sensitive fiscal, biographical, and demographic data related to donors and prospects. This role involves gift entry, data research, clerical support, and reporting, all while upholding the mission of the organization as the fundraising arm of Florida State University Athletics Department.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with donors, constituents, and prospects through various communication methods while maintaining professionalism.
  • Perform audits and research to provide reports and requested information from internal and external sources.
  • Create, edit, and update donor database accounts and files.
  • Process and link online pledge entries and gift payments, reconciling daily settlements from online credit merchants.
  • Record gifts, pledges, memberships, and other revenue-based giving, including matching gifts and securities.
  • Produce, manage, and send bulk mailings and emails for billings, year-end tax statements, and renewals.
  • Perform simple gift projects as directed by management.
  • Merge database information into spreadsheets or word documents for validation.
  • Learn and understand FSU Athletics and Seminole Boosters Priority Policy for ticket allotment and parking benefits.
  • Maintain sensitive and non-sensitive donor information in various formats.
  • Support Athletics Ticket Office Sales and Service staff in servicing donors and requests.
  • Perform other duties and assist with additional projects as requested.
  • Protect confidential information.
  • Perform clerical tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a fiscal environment.
  • Proficiency in a networked environment with Windows and various software applications including email, Excel, Word, and web navigation.
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and process financial data accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Customer service oriented with effective interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude for understanding information and business rules.
  • Strong math and language skills.
