About the position

The Gift Records & Donor Database Administrator at Valor Christian High School is responsible for managing the donor database and overseeing the gift processing function. This role ensures data integrity and provides essential reports and analytics to support the school's philanthropic efforts. The position requires collaboration with the Advancement and Finance teams to honor and value all donors, contributing to the school's mission and vision.

Responsibilities

• Manage the donor database and supporting software applications.
• Oversee the entire gift processing function including data entry, gift receipts, and donor acknowledgments.
• Ensure data integrity by maintaining clean records and merging duplicates.
• Create and manage campaigns, funds, and appeals in the donor database.
• Design and distribute custom monthly reporting packages for leadership.
• Conduct donor and prospect research and manage the wealth screening process.
• Execute donor acknowledgment and gift receipting processes in compliance with IRS guidelines.
• Prepare donation accounting batches for posting to the general ledger.
• Assist with donor-related events as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a development or advancement office preferred.
• Experience with donor databases is a strong advantage.
• Strong technology skills including MS Office and database management functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve and propose creative solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
