Responsibilities
- Welcome every guest that enters the Gift Shop and assist them with their purchases in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Process sales transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Cooperate with Gift Shop Supervisors and coworkers to maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked gift shop.
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings to stay informed on company and departmental information.
- Follow directions from Gift Shop Supervisors and upper management, fostering teamwork and mutual respect.
- Accurately balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Maintain vending machines in a clean, well-stocked, and operational condition.
- Communicate vending machine product needs to the appropriate Supervisor.
- Assist in conducting month-end inventory for all Gift Shop outlets.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is required.
- Must be computer literate in operating gift shop cash registers.
- Basic math skills are necessary to process sales and balance the cash drawer.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English is required.
- Customer service orientation is essential.
