About the position

The Program Director oversees Gilead's Clinton area residential and supervised apartment program that serves adults with histories of major mental illness and co-occurring substance use. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, supervision of clinical services, and support for the Clinical Department Director in program administration. The position includes supervisory responsibilities such as staff management, scheduling, hiring, training, and providing guidance to non-management staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Providing clinical knowledge regarding severe and prolonged mental health and substance abuse disorders, through supervision, training, and education of staff
  • Creating, coordinating, and implementing clinical services in conjunction with other agency staff, including nursing and psychiatry staff
  • Consulting with the Clinical Department Director regarding medical and mental health needs regarding risk management and implementing new or revised programming in compliance with Gilead's mission and vision
  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with all contractual agreements and licensing regulations including but not limited to DMHAS, CARF, and DPH
  • Ensuring that Medicaid Rehab Option services are implemented effectively both fiscally and clinically
  • Overseeing hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of both management and non-management program staff
  • Overseeing the employee schedules, time off requests, and daily workflow management of the program
  • Providing on call coverage after hours and on weekends/holidays as part of a rotation
  • Maintaining the program's clean, safe, and home-like atmosphere
  • Acting with compassion, integrity, and ethics

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a human service field; Licensed degree preferred
  • Six years of clinical experience total with three years of management experience
  • Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing
  • Reliable use of personal vehicle as needed
