About the position
The Girl Experience Specialist (part-time) assists with the development and delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience; supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Girl Experience activities that attract and retain girls. This position primarily performs its duties indoors and is occasionally exposed to outdoors weather conditions and/or moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and implementation of council-sponsored and volunteer-led Girl Experiences and Camp Metro.
- Contributes to the council's resource guide through the development of Girl Experience opportunities.
- Designs Girl Experiences to support membership, retention and the building of diverse participation.
- Collaborates with Girl Experience volunteers.
- Assists with the analysis of Girl Experience evaluations to ensure membership needs are being met, addresses issues and modifies or discontinues Girl Experiences as needed; assists with outcome survey implementation.
- Maintains adequate record keeping, paperwork processes and database administration for Girl Experience participation and evaluation.
- Partners with Membership Recruitment, Troop Support, Volunteer Support and Girl Experience staff and volunteers to ensure effective and quality delivery of information regarding Girl Scouts.
- Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the council's mission and goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word).
