About the position

The GIS Analyst I at Campos EPC is responsible for providing GIS services for various projects, collaborating closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and GIS team members. The role involves creating, editing, and maintaining pipeline-related GIS data within an enterprise GIS system, as well as developing workflows to address complex spatial analysis challenges. The analyst will also produce detailed maps and reports to support project execution across different stages.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain feature classes and maps in an enterprise GIS system, including pipeline centerline maps and alignment maps.
  • Work with the survey team to incorporate survey design and as-built data into the GIS system.
  • Create GIS maps and reports as needed for various projects.
  • Interact with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Maintain and improve data management and field survey procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and efficient data flow throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the Database Administrator with the maintenance and design of internal databases and implementation of new geospatial databases and schema.
  • Provide support for GIS-related requests from internal and external clients.
  • Present GIS capabilities, workflows, technical processes, and organizational data flow to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4-12 years of prior experience working with GIS, particularly in oil and gas or pipeline sectors.
  • Experience with creating, updating, and maintaining geographic databases.
  • Knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop software, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Experience with FME, creating workspaces, and building data migration models.
  • Familiarity with GIS scripting languages, including Python (Arcpy, ArcGIS Notebooks) and Arcade.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
