About the position

The GIS Analyst position at Insight Global involves working with the Land Data Management team of an Oil & Gas Operator in Houston, TX. This role is primarily focused on mapping workflows for 7000 tracts in the Permian Basin, utilizing specific GIS software tools. The position is a 3-month contract with potential for extension and follows a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mapping workflows on 7000 tracts located in the Permian Basin.
• Utilize Quorum Land Management systems QGIS add-in for ArcGIS Pro 2.8 for Land GIS data management.
• Decipher correct legal descriptions from source deeds.
• Use native ArcGIS Pro editing tools in conjunction with Quorum QGIS's built-in mapping widgets.

Requirements

• 3+ years of GIS experience
• Experience utilizing ArcGIS Pro
• Experience utilizing Quorum QGIS
• Experience mapping workflows for land documents

Nice-to-haves

• Prior Quorum QLS/QGIS experience
