About the position

The GIS Analyst at Electro Scan, Inc. is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing geographic data using GIS software tools. This role supports project development and planning through spatial analysis and the creation of maps and visualizations. The analyst will ensure data quality and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address GIS-related challenges, contributing to technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data using GIS software tools.
• Conduct spatial analysis using GIS software to support project development and planning.
• Develop and update maps and other geographic data visualizations to support a range of projects.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on all data outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve GIS-related issues.
• Assist with technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in GIS mapping and spatial data management.
• Experience with GIS software such as ArcMap.
• Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
