About the position
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Geographic Information Systems to analyze spatial data, create visual representations, and support decision-making processes. This role requires a strong foundation in data management and analysis, as well as proficiency in various programming languages and tools. Responsibilities
- Implement, manage and maintain all mapping and facilities-based property records within the GIS database and maintain a digital library.
- Keep track of field data and collaborate with the various departments through the lifespan of ICB, CIP or Repair projects.
- Provide various reports or KPI's requested from the spatial mapping software.
- Develop and implement locate ticket request and responses that interact with digital maps, GIS and Spatial information systems.
- Stay up to date on the dynamic world of GIS technology by reading journals and participating in workshops regarding the same.
Requirements
- Technical/Professional Training or Knowledge with two (2) or more years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Telecommunications and Fiber Optic construction and operations principles.
- Knowledge of FTTH and HFC design and construction.
- Ability to create, read and interpret construction blueprints, staking sheets and project BOM's.
- Knowledge of working with GPS measuring tools.
- Experience working with software such as CAD, JavaScript, Python, SQL or other geo database software.
- Proficiency in using mapping tools.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
