Responsibilities

• Provide cartographic services for a variety of projects.
• Coordinate GIS and mapping software applications to comply with regulations.
• Oversee maintenance of the GIS database.
• Work with customers to determine requirements for base geographic data.
• Write business data requirements for purchasing geographic data.
• Coordinate the purchase, delivery, and installation of geographic data.
• Perform routine maintenance of purchased geographic data for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain professional visual aids and communications media.
• Maintain and publish an up-to-date index of maps generated by the department.
• Develop departmental cartographic standards.
• Provide technical input for project planning and analysis.
• Research records for information and perform ad hoc geographic data analysis.
• Provide updates for various federal filings.
• Provide input on GIS-related capital expenditures and financial forecasts.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in GIS analysis.
• Proficiency in GIS and mapping software applications.
• Experience in cartographic services and data management.
• Ability to analyze project scope and requirements.
• Strong research skills for geographic data analysis.
