This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management and maintenance of GIS data, which includes data collection and verification, CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) map maintenance, and special address maintenance. The coordinator will also support the development and implementation of GIS systems, conduct systems analysis, programming, and database administration for GIS applications. In this position, the GIS Application Coordinator will be responsible for administering GIS servers and related systems, coordinating problem resolution with users and vendors, and designing and implementing new applications or features. The role requires a proactive approach to researching problems, designing solutions, testing, and implementing software and databases while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all systems and software. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain GIS system security by designing and documenting user policies and privileges, as well as data maintenance procedures. They will also provide technical support for GIS applications, addressing user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions. Regular and reliable attendance is mandatory, and schedules may change with or without advance notice, reflecting the dynamic nature of the work environment.
