About the position

The GIS Applications Developer position at Idealforce is a contract role based in Phoenix, AZ, requiring immediate availability. This hybrid position involves developing Python scripts for geocoding workflows, integrating with SQL Server databases, and creating front-end tools using JavaScript. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver effective geospatial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python scripts for geocoding workflows using ArcPy.
• Integrate with SQL Server databases and Esri geodatabases.
• Build front-end tools and map interfaces using JavaScript (Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK).
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases for spatial and non-spatial data.
• Create RESTful APIs or tools using .NET for data integration and automation.
• Perform spatial analysis and handle geospatial datasets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Python and ArcPy for GIS tasks.
• Proficiency in Esri JavaScript Maps SDK and GIS web mapping APIs.
• Strong SQL Server skills.
• Experience with ASP.NET development (C# or VB.NET).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to combine Python, Esri JavaScript Maps SDK, .NET, and SQL Server into a cohesive geocoding solution.
