The GIS Business Intelligence Developer at TriWest Healthcare Alliance is a pivotal role that focuses on transforming data into meaningful GIS visualizations to address healthcare-related inquiries. The role involves facilitating meetings to identify, collect, organize, and prioritize data requirements, as well as recommending solutions to complex business issues. The developer will advocate for business process improvements through data analysis, process changes, and the application of technology. In this role, the GIS Business Intelligence Developer will conduct geographic information system (GIS) program activities, utilizing GIS software to produce and maintain maps and spatial databases. The developer will analyze internal datasets using a variety of ArcGIS Pro geoprocessing tools, including geocoding, service area analysis, and custom territories. Additionally, the developer will create and maintain maps to share with business users, develop web maps, web apps, and dashboards on ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, and evaluate information from various sources to ensure data quality. The position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting software technical issues associated with GIS systems and may involve collaboration with vendors to resolve tool or software functionality issues. The GIS Business Intelligence Developer will also be responsible for improving existing geospatial solutions, enhancing the look and feel of data visualizations, and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Regular and reliable attendance is essential, and the developer will be expected to work non-regular hours as required. This position offers remote work opportunities across several states, and candidates must be U.S. citizens due to Department of Defense contract requirements.
