About The Position
NV5 is actively recruiting a GIS Database Administrator/Systems Admin who possesses sound expertise in geospatial technologies and database administration. The position is located at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills. This role requires the ability to work well in a team environment while also being capable of independent work. The position is full-time and onsite, and due to federal contract requirements, the candidate must be a US Citizen and capable of attaining the required security clearance. The GIS Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft Server environments, specifically versions 2016 to current, with a focus on the military/Air Force context. This includes performing server maintenance, applying security patches, and conducting regular server updates. Familiarity with the DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is essential. The role also involves working on web applications for the Robins GIS web viewer, managing Oracle and SQL interfaces for user accounts, and overseeing ESRI/ArcGIS products and licensing, including ArcGIS Pro and License Manager. Additionally, the administrator will work with the ESRI/ArcGIS Portal application and create web apps in Portal, edit or modify GIS data in ArcGIS software, and perform QA/QC checks of data to support all Geobase data requirements per Air Force SDSFIE standards.
