About the position

ERG is seeking a highly motivated senior database and GIS developer to join its digital solutions team. This role involves designing and building software and web solutions to support environmental and public health organizations. Responsibilities

• Design and implement GIS and database solutions.
• Manage and analyze geospatial environmental datasets.
• Perform requirements analysis and design enterprise applications and web services.
• Develop and maintain applications using Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS, and PostgreSQL.
• Implement RESTful APIs and work with Agile methodologies.
• Present technical solutions and recommendations to clients.
• Mentor teammates and identify system improvements.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Digital and Computational Studies, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• 8+ years of experience in GIS and database solutions.
• Proficient in Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS, Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, and Java.
• Familiarity with platforms like ArcGIS Online and AWS.
• Experience with source code management tools like GitHub or GitLab.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with CentOS Linux, Redhat Linux, or Oracle Linux.
• Knowledge of Lean/Agile delivery practices.
• Passion for learning new tools and techniques.
