The GIS Research Analyst position is a direct hire opportunity based in Dallas, Texas, specifically designed for individuals with a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and commercial real estate. The role involves creating and manipulating aerial imagery to assist in the research of commercial properties, producing thematic maps that utilize various demographic variables, and conducting market research to support data articles and informational products. The analyst will primarily run demographic reports focused on Texas, evaluate data, and share insights with brokers and administrative staff. A key aspect of the role is to gather relevant information from brokers, executives, and other stakeholders to determine the most efficient approach to requested projects. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree, although this is preferred rather than mandatory, and should have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. Recent experience as a Graphic or GIS Analyst is essential, particularly in the context of commercial real estate, marketing, or retail site selection. Familiarity with GIS tools and software, especially MapInfo and/or ESRI products, is crucial. Additionally, proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, or similar graphic design software, is preferred. A solid understanding of demographics and demographic reporting is also required to effectively perform the job duties.
