About the position

The Solution Engineer role at Schneider Electric involves supporting the pre-sales process by evaluating customer needs and detailing their requirements. This position requires demonstrating software products that align with customer needs and the overall product strategy of the Grid Information Systems League. The role is crucial in ensuring that customer expectations are met through effective communication and collaboration with various teams during the tendering process.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre-sales activities including customer meetings, demos, and responding to inquiries.
  • Respond to RFP/RFI technical questions for sales opportunities involving Grid Information Systems League products.
  • Develop deep expertise in multiple product offerings through collaboration with Product Management and R&D.
  • Support the Global demo team during Proof-of-Concept and Benchmark phases of the RFP and Sales process.
  • Work closely with Tender Managers to define and enable the winning strategy during the tendering process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of the Geographic Information System (GIS) industry, specifically Esri technology and the ArcFM Solution.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical power engineering and distribution network concepts.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Asset Performance Management, Asset Investment & Maintenance Planning, and/or Advanced Metering Infrastructure SW Solutions.
