About the position

The GIS Solution Engineer at Schneider Electric plays a crucial role in the pre-sales process by evaluating customer needs and detailing their requirements. This position involves demonstrating software products that align with customer needs and the overall product strategy, particularly within the Grid Information Systems League, which focuses on ADMS/DERMS solutions. The engineer will collaborate with various teams globally to ensure customer satisfaction and product alignment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-sales activities including customer meetings, demos, and responding to inquiries.
• Respond to RFP/RFI technical questions for sales opportunities involving Grid Information Systems League products.
• Cover multiple product offers and develop deep expertise through collaboration with Product Management and R&D.
• Achieve autonomy in answering RFP/RFIs after onboarding with minimal assistance.
• Support the Global demo team during Proof-of-Concept and Benchmark phases of the RFP and Sales process.
• Work closely with Product Management to identify scope gaps for inclusion in the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Knowledge of the Geographic Information System (GIS) industry, Esri technology, and the ArcFM Solution.
• Basic knowledge of electrical power engineering and distribution network concepts.
• Excellent English communication skills (written, verbal, visual).
• Strong collaboration and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Asset Performance Management, Asset Investment & Maintenance Planning, and/or Advanced Metering Infrastructure SW Solutions.
