About the position

The GIS Specialist at Dabri, Inc. is responsible for managing and maintaining GIS data to support project definitions and analysis at LAX Airport. This role involves developing GIS web applications, conducting quality assurance and control of data, and ensuring compliance with CADD standards. The specialist will also provide technical support, develop sustainable data management systems, and coordinate with various agencies to obtain GIS spatial data sets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain GIS data related to project definitions and analysis.
  • Develop GIS web applications and dashboards.
  • Conduct QAQC of data for existing and proposed facilities and infrastructure.
  • Build CADD standards compliance review and support data delivery at project closeout.
  • Collect, verify, and edit GIS data sets for mapping services and technical analysis.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data sets using ESRI GIS software and SQL databases.
  • Administer geographic data development, verification, management, and quality control.
  • Provide technical support to staff in other government agencies regarding shared GIS data.
  • Develop and maintain data layers for geographic features.
  • Prepare GIS technical reports and respond to inquiries related to GIS datasets.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay updated on GIS developments.
  • Coordinate with city, county, state, and federal agencies to obtain GIS spatial data.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, including indoor mapping and spatial analysis.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, JavaScript, and C++.
  • Proficiency in GIS software including ArcGIS, ArcEditor, ArcMap, and related applications.
  • Knowledge of mapping concepts, data development, and geoprocessing techniques.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Oracle, and SQL Server.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with indoor mapping and spatial analysis.
  • Familiarity with cartographic mapping principles.
