About the position
The GIS Specialist position at EA Engineering Science and Technology is an entry-level role focused on mapping and analysis using Esri's ArcGIS software. Responsibilities
- Perform mapping and analysis duties using Esri's ArcGIS Pro desktop software.
- Create presentation quality maps using ArcGIS toolbox tools.
- Run analyses on environmental data obtained from the field or acquired through public or private sources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, or a related field with a focus on Geographic Information Systems.
- Minimum of one year of professional or practical academic experience with ESRI ArcMap software platform.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or newer and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Experience with Esri GIS mobile device apps including ArcGIS Field Maps and ArcGIS Survey 123.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated GIS mapping and analysis skills, including cartographic techniques and familiarity with ArcToolBox.
- Experience with Python, ArcGIS Model Builder, VB script, or other GIS compatible programming languages preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Visual Basic programming.
- Familiarity with 3D Analyst Tools and Spatial Analyst Tools.
