About the position

ECS is seeking a GitOps Manager to work in our Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA office. This role is responsible for integrating development and operations teams' efforts to enhance collaboration and productivity, focusing on code versioning and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. The GitOps Manager will act as a liaison to facilitate mission software development and continuous improvement, ensuring optimal performance of platform components across various environments while meeting security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive GitOps strategy for the platform, including versioning and IaC practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and address gaps in the platform's components.
• Work with operations teams to ensure optimal performance of the platform's components across different environments.
• Serve as a liaison between development and operations teams, and collaborate with external partners and vendors.
• Develop and maintain playbooks and documentation for GitOps processes and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to development and operations teams on GitOps processes and procedures.
• Conduct training and awareness programs on GitOps best practices and tools, including Agile and DevOps.
• Identify and recommend improvements to the GitOps process and frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development or operations, focusing on GitOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Strong understanding of GitOps methodologies and frameworks, including Agile and DevOps.
• Experience with cloud security and zero-trust architectures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools.
