About the position

The GL Inventory Control Associate at Wayfair is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of inventory through daily audits and a comprehensive Cycle Count program. This role is crucial in ensuring high delivery standards and customer satisfaction by managing inventory levels and resolving issues related to damaged or misplaced products. The position requires collaboration with various teams and the use of Warehouse Management Software and Excel to track and report inventory data.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a comprehensive Cycle Count program.
• Lead by example in inventory management practices.
• Manage the life cycle of damaged, misplaced, or missing products.
• Collect and ticket bad status items, releasing them back into inventory once resolved.
• Track and report daily inventory metrics to upper management.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Software and Excel for data management.
• Complete additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with cycle counts.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Strong communication skills to work with people at all levels.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Software and data entry.
• Must be able to work on the warehouse floor for 8 hours a day or more.
