The Eye Institute of West Florida Largo, FL

About The Position

The Eye Institute of West Florida is seeking a fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist who is confident in all areas of medical and surgical glaucoma. This amazing opportunity offers 100% glaucoma care supported by trained staff at a pace you are most comfortable with. Located on the beautiful West Coast of Florida in Tampa and surrounding areas, The Eye Institute of West Florida, “EIWF”, is a multi-generational, multi-location practice. Establishing in 1974 by founder Stephen Weinstock, MD, is now led by son, Robert Weinstock, MD. Growing into 5 locations, 2 ASC’s, supported by roughly 30 providers, Dr. Weinstock has used the last 50 years giving back to the community. Whether it’s to their patients or providing fellowships to future generations of ophthalmologists, building and maintaining relationships has allowed EIWF to serve thousands of patients each year. Over the past decade, population in Clearwater exceeds 110,000+ residents in a 30 mile radius, with a rapid increase during snowbird winter months. Surrounded by water, natural springs, the most beautiful beaches, sun shining all year-round, and a quick drive over the bridge into Downtown Tampa, Clearwater gives endless opportunities for recreational activities, dining, music and art shows, and so much more! With all to say, Clearwater currently does not have a Glaucoma Specialist leaving an urgent need. Supporting the physician’s autonomy and pace, we allow for a 2 year ramp period. For the confident candidate, immediate access up to 40+ patients per clinical day and weekly surgical cases are available. EIWF prides itself on supportive and collaborative company culture, giving back to the community, and being a leader in ophthalmology.
