About the position

Mitchell Glass Company is seeking an experienced Glazier to lead a skilled team in delivering high-quality glass installations for both residential and commercial projects. This role emphasizes craftsmanship, mentorship, and the ability to handle complex glazing tasks, including curtain wall installations and custom shower glass fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of glaziers, ensuring high standards of quality and providing training in the field.
• Perform professional glass installation, repair, and replacement, specializing in curtain wall projects up to 4 stories and custom shower enclosures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for accurate project execution.
• Create precise templates for custom shower glass installations to meet design specifications.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct inspections to uphold quality standards, resolving any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to meet job requirements and exceed expectations.
• Execute work on both commercial construction sites and residential spaces.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in glazing, with a strong background in both residential and commercial projects.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Technical expertise in handling, cutting, and installing various types of glass, including creating custom templates for shower glass.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials, work on ladders and scaffolding, and perform tasks safely in various environmental conditions.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with curtain wall installations on structures up to 4 stories.
• Familiarity with safety and technical training programs such as OSHA and Fall Protection.
