About the position

As a Pilot at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), you will leverage your aviation expertise to operate advanced aircraft in challenging environments, supporting critical missions for the nation's war fighters. This role involves conducting experimental test flights, special mission training, and various operational missions, all while ensuring safety and compliance with aviation regulations. Responsibilities

• Conduct casualty evacuation, maritime patrol, experimental test flights, and special mission training.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations including 14 CFR Part 91 and AR 95-20.
• Maintain personal fitness for flight and valid FAA commercial pilot and medical certificates.
• Conduct thorough preflight checks of aircraft and weather conditions before each sortie.
• Monitor aircraft systems, navigation, fuel loads, and weather during flights.
• Coordinate with air traffic control and aircraft mechanics to ensure airworthiness and legality of the aircraft.
• Manage emergency situations to ensure the safety of the flight crew and aircraft.

Requirements

• Typically 6 or more years of relevant experience in aviation.
• Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument rating without limitations.
• FAA issued Second Class Medical Certificate.
• Ability to pass a FAA/Military Pilot Background Check and mandatory drug and alcohol screen.
• A minimum of 500 PIC hours in Global 6000/6500 type or 1000 PIC hours in similar aircraft type for direct hire Captain.
• A minimum of 2500 hours total fixed-wing time in a multi-engine turbo prop aircraft, jet aircraft or combination thereof.
• Radio Telephone Operators License.
• Current valid passport and travel documents for unrestricted travel.
• Eligibility for rapid visa issuance and US Top Secret Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Global 6000/6500 Type rating highly desired.
• Airline Transport Pilot Certificate desired.
• First Class Medical Certificate preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university desired.
• Recency and similar aircraft type of experience is highly desired.
• Recency of Airborne Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance mission and/or prior service experience is highly desired.
• US Military Survival and/or Physiological training may be required.
