About the position

The Global Account Manager for AWS Sales will oversee the relationship with one of the largest global customers, providing leadership and management to ensure customer satisfaction and successful deployment of AWS services. This role involves building strategic relationships, engaging with senior leadership, and coordinating resources to support customer needs while driving business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage global customer relationships and provide business leadership.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with the customer's leadership and Lines of Business.
  • Develop and manage opportunities and monitor deployment projects.
  • Engage AWS resources to support customer interests, including executives and technical teams.
  • Define and implement a CXO relationship strategy within the account.
  • Conduct executive business reviews and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Develop formal case studies and references highlighting AWS workloads.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a lead Account and Relationship Manager with a large global organization.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Team leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience selling into or working for a large Service Provider or Cable/Media company.
  • Experience as the primary account manager for a global enterprise.
  • BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of selling experience in large global accounts.
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record.
  • Strong understanding of AWS and technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
