About the position

The Global Account Manager at Telefónica is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with major multinational clients based in the USA. This role involves achieving sales quotas, identifying customer needs, and coordinating solutions across various departments to ensure high customer satisfaction and loyalty. The position requires a strategic approach to business development and a deep understanding of the telecommunications and IT sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts worldwide.
  • Penetrate accounts and establish personal presence at the executive level in the US.
  • Identify and close new accounts.
  • Grow sales and revenues in existing accounts.
  • Identify customer needs and proactively discuss market trends to generate new leads.
  • Transmit customer needs within the organization.
  • Challenge customers and Telefonica to create optimal solutions at competitive prices.
  • Coordinate with various Telefonica departments to deliver solutions.
  • Draw up offers in partnership with the Pre Sales engineering team.
  • Work with product marketing and pre-sales teams to customize services for customers.
  • Complete strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Build strong relationships with customers at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, telecom/electronic Engineering, Marketing or related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the Telecom/IT sector in Sales positions.
  • At least 4 years of experience with multinational corporations as customers in the USA.
  • Familiarity with technologies in IT, Security, Mobile, IoT, Telecomms, SW and Digital areas.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.

  • MBA would be a plus.
