About the position

The Global Account Manager at Amphenol TCS is responsible for managing relationships with key global accounts in the Telecom/Datacom market. This role involves promoting and selling Amphenol's high-speed electrical connectors, developing sales strategies, and providing technical support to customers. The position requires a blend of sales acumen and technical knowledge to effectively address customer needs and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with external customers and internal teams to foster partnerships.
  • Sell and promote Amphenol products within defined accounts through OEMs and distributors.
  • Devise strategies to differentiate products and solutions from competitors.
  • Broaden customer base and increase penetration at key global accounts.
  • Provide sales leadership for large Global Account Customers and collaborate with Field Applications Engineers.
  • Promote and sell Amphenol products to established customers and develop new prospects.
  • Identify interconnect opportunities and work with customers' engineering teams to design in new products.
  • Develop and implement sales plans and growth strategies for customers.
  • Provide forecasts for Amphenol products by customer.
  • Meet and exceed strategic objectives and sales quotas through new design wins and channel management.
  • Support technical aspects of the sales cycle and provide customer service for complex inquiries.
  • Track orders and revenue by customer and build rapport with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing with a technical background or BS Engineering with a Business/Marketing aptitude.
  • Knowledge of the interconnect solutions industry preferred.
  • Field sales and applications experience at a global account level with interconnect components.
  • Understanding of international business practices is a plus.
  • Sales skills to negotiate technical design wins and contracts.
  • Ability to acquire extensive product and application knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify and pursue new customers and markets.
  • Strong communication skills to interact across engineering and managerial functions.
  • Organizational skills to meet and exceed strategic objectives.
  • Leadership skills to drive new opportunities in a global account environment.
  • Proficiency in Pro E or Solidworks and Microsoft Office products.
