About the position

The Global Agile Leader is a pivotal change agent responsible for implementing agile principles and the scrum process within product development and innovation teams across the organization. This role emphasizes scrum process ownership and servant leadership, ensuring that teams adhere to agile practices while facilitating meetings and decision-making processes. The Agile Leader will mentor teams to enhance their processes, eliminate impediments, and serve as a resource for agile best practices, ultimately contributing to the organization's long-term strategy for agility and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-functional teams utilizing agile processes including Scrum
  • Own the scrum process at the team level and ensure the process is followed
  • Coach the team on the process, process improvement and 'Doing Good Scrum'
  • Track team metrics to gather insight into the overall health of the team
  • Target process improvements to drive increases in team velocity and happiness
  • Enable teams to accelerate through impediment identification, removal and escalation
  • Utilize relationships throughout the organization to remove impediments and resource conflicts
  • Assist teams with long-term planning and macro estimation to enable resource planning and impediment identification
  • Facilitate backlog refinement as well as value vs effort activities to help teams curate a prioritized and ready backlog
  • Facilitate risk discussions to help teams mitigate risks and fail fast
  • Effectively communicate agile principles and scrum practices across the organization
  • Utilize BAC's innovation process to lead teams through new challenges
  • Support process and tool developments to further the Agile COE

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years hard goods manufacturing or product development experience required
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Proven results working as a facilitator or servant leader in an agile or innovation environment
  • Working knowledge of agile or scrum framework is a plus, the expectation being it will be required after accepting role
  • Experience leading or participating in global product development and launches a plus
  • Experience across multiple functions (marketing, operations, manufacturing, etc.) in addition to engineering is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and collaboration tool experience (Teams, Zoom, Mural, Miro, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a global product development environment
  • Familiarity with multiple functional areas beyond engineering
