About the position
As the Manager - Global Air Sourcing Analytics, you will lead the Air Analytics function within the Global Air Sourcing group at Holland America Line. This role involves designing and developing dashboards and data visualizations, analyzing results, and making strategic business recommendations. You will serve as the subject matter expert for Power BI, ensuring data integrity and functionality of dashboards, while collaborating with the Strategic Sourcing Team to implement strategies with airlines and GDS partners. Your responsibilities will also include managing projects related to IT, data, and automation, and providing analytics to support negotiation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop dashboards and data visualizations by importing data from multiple sources.
- Ensure data integrity and functionality of Power BI dashboards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Power BI, addressing functionality and error resolution questions.
- Lead Global Air Sourcing efforts and projects related to IT, data, and systems.
- Support the Global Air Sourcing Team with ad-hoc data analytics and projects.
- Analyze dashboards and reports to uncover trends and opportunities for negotiation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT to improve analytic tools and data structures.
Requirements
- Master's degree preferred in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in advanced analytics.
- Strong commercial acumen and Power BI knowledge required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Power BI.
- Expertise in Oracle SQL and Oracle SQL Developer, including SSRS and TSQL.
- Experience with ETL Tools, Power Query, MDX, and DAX.
Nice-to-haves
- Air industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in strategic sourcing and cruise line industry is a plus.
