About the position

The Global Brand Marketing Manager for WhatsApp is a pivotal role within the global marketing organization, responsible for shaping and building the WhatsApp brand. This position involves leading the development and execution of large-scale consumer marketing campaigns, ensuring local relevance while maintaining global brand integrity. The ideal candidate will leverage analytical skills and a deep understanding of consumer dynamics to create impactful marketing strategies that resonate with billions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of global consumer campaigns across various media and partnerships.
  • Lead the development of campaigns and go-to-market strategies for global brand campaigns and tentpole moments.
  • Drive the global-to-local strategy and operational processes for local consumer marketing brand plans and campaigns.
  • Inform the overall global brand strategy based on media performance and market insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance to provide data-backed insights for optimization and reporting to leadership.
  • Work with Brand Strategists and Integrated Marketers to align on business priorities.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading iconic global brands in both CPG and tech industries.
  • Utilization of consumer research and data to drive actionable insights for marketing strategies.
  • Experience managing large multi-million dollar campaigns with a strong understanding of communications and media planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and coordinate with various internal and external teams.
  • Experience working with diverse creative and media agencies.
  • Proven track record in developing compelling consumer communication and breakthrough creative.
  • Experience working with international markets on global brands.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a talent for building collaborative partnerships across functions.
  • Effective influence and stakeholder management skills across all levels of management.
