About the position

The Commercial Business Analyst position is a vital role within the newly formed Commercial Business team in the Global Business Revenue Operations (GBRO) organization at Oracle. This team is responsible for all systems, tools, business processes, and operations for both direct and indirect business lines. The primary goal of this position is to enhance the experience of internal sales and partner ecosystems, enabling them to meet their business objectives and revenue goals. The analyst will engage in business analysis activities specifically for Applications (Apps), collaborating with various stakeholders across Oracle to understand business priorities and provide insights that highlight key areas of opportunity. In this role, the analyst will conduct thorough analyses of business processes and data to identify areas for improvement, particularly in sales processes. This includes supporting continuous improvement programs across GBRO. The position requires the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely, as well as the capacity to summarize key issues and business insights to educate broader GBRO stakeholders on opportunities across the business. The analyst will also stay updated with industry trends and best practices to identify further opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will possess deep analytics and business analysis skills, with experience in cloud sales or operations. They should be adept at transforming data into relevant insights and compelling presentations, and be self-motivated, able to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with stakeholders, including executive audiences, to identify business needs and requirements.
  • Conducts thorough analysis of business processes and data to identify areas for improvement for Apps.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet top business priorities.
  • Leverages data to develop hypotheses and points of view to support executive updates and critical insights.
  • Communicates findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Partners closely with the Global Rev Ops Analytics team and Divisions to drive operational reporting requirements and provide ad hoc analysis aligned to top initiatives.
  • Collaborates with sales & partner process owners to influence their roadmaps and design considerations for optimization.
  • Summarizes key issues and business insights to educate broader GBRO stakeholders on opportunities across the business.
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Deep analytics and business analysis skills.
  • Experience in cloud sales or operations, demonstrating an understanding of common sales motions.

  • Ability and drive to cover a range of activities from executive presentations to hands-on, deep dives as it pertains to top priorities.
