About the position

The Global Business Revenue Operations (GBRO) department at Oracle is tasked with overseeing all systems, tools, business processes, and operations for both direct and indirect business lines. The primary objective of GBRO is to deliver an exceptional experience that empowers our internal sales teams and partner ecosystem to achieve their business objectives and revenue targets. This involves designing, building, and managing the mechanisms that drive commercial growth. The Commercial Business Analyst role is a key position within the newly established Commercial Business team under the GBRO umbrella. This role entails conducting business analysis activities specifically for Applications (Apps). The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders across Oracle to grasp business priorities and provide insights that highlight significant opportunities or enhance strategies for ongoing initiatives. The position involves thorough analysis of business processes to support executive meetings, cross-organizational initiatives, and ad hoc updates across both direct and indirect business lines. Additionally, this role is pivotal in optimizing sales processes and supporting continuous improvement programs within GBRO. As a Commercial Business Analyst, you will engage with stakeholders, including executive audiences, to identify business needs and requirements. You will conduct comprehensive analyses of business processes and data to pinpoint areas for improvement within the Apps domain. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will design and implement solutions that align with top business priorities. Your ability to leverage data will be crucial in developing hypotheses and insights that support executive updates and critical decision-making. Clear and concise communication of findings and recommendations will be essential, as will partnering closely with the Global Rev Ops Analytics team and Divisions to drive operational reporting requirements and provide ad hoc analyses aligned with key initiatives. You will also collaborate with sales and partner process owners to influence their roadmaps and design considerations for optimization, summarizing key issues and insights to educate broader GBRO stakeholders on business opportunities. Staying informed about industry trends and best practices will be vital to identifying further improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Deep analytics and business analysis skills
  • Experience in cloud sales or operations, demonstrating an understanding of common sales motions
  • Ability to communicate data into relevant insights and support compelling presentations
  • Ability and drive to cover a range of activities from executive presentations to hands-on, deep dives as it pertains to top priorities
