About the position

The Global Category Manager for Engineering and Corporate Services at Rolls-Royce is responsible for leading a team of buyers to develop and implement global procurement strategies for various corporate services and engineering services commodities. This role focuses on enhancing cost, quality, and delivery through strong supplier relationships and strategic sourcing activities. The manager will also ensure risk mitigation, optimize commercial advantages, and provide security of supply while coaching the team to strengthen sourcing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and strategic direction of partners and suppliers, including conflict resolution and performance reporting.
• Lead complex negotiations, perform cost analysis, draft contracts, and create business cases to maximize value across major categories.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain integrated commodity/category supplier strategies with a clear vision and strategic framework.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks within the supply chain to ensure continuity and resilience.
• Lead and mentor a team of buyers to excel in strategic tasks and achieve superior business outcomes.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline with 7+ years of experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of experience, OR
• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline with 3+ years of experience, OR
• JD/PhD, OR
• 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

• Experience in indirect procurement and supplier management.
